Last summer I went to Washington D.C. We were on our way to one of the memorials, I believe it was the Jefferson Memorial, and across the water I saw this. I thought it was so interesting, yet a little scary how this plane was flying so low over this building which housed a monument. It reminded me of that fateful day that changed so many of our lives. In a way I guess I was amazed because this was a plane flying so low and not causing any destruction or ruining any lives.
Cool picture! I wonder if it might have been getting ready to land at Reagan National Airport on the Potomac. Hope that was the case!
ReplyDeleteThat is the Jefferson Memorial across "The basin". And yes, I agreeing with the above comment, it was probably landing at Reagan National. It would be a scary sight no matter what! It's a GREAT capture!! DC is wonderful, we lived there a couple of years. I miss the mall area.
