Saturday Nine

1. Does anything about Halloween “spook” you?
No not really.

2. What is the favorite costume you have ever worn for Halloween?
When I was a child we didn't have much money so for years my Halloween costumes were home made. I would have to say that my favorite costume was a gypsy. I loved it because I was allowed to where alot of makeup and loads of jewelry.

3. What is your favorite thing about Halloween?
The Halloween (Michael Meyers) movies that are aired during the season.

4. What one topic is (or was) the most painful to discuss with your parents? Why?
Just about everything was painful to discuss with my parents. Because they were not very open minded at all, they made their rules and had their own way of thinking and we were not to go against that.

5. What was the happiest day of your life? Do you think you'll ever top it?
When I had my children. No I don't think I will ever top it but things like their graduations, birthdays and milestones come close.

6. What animal would you like to be able to communicate with?
A dog. Since I have so many of them, I would love to know what they are feeling so that I could help them and understand their needs better.

7. In what way do you come nearest to perfection (as you define it)?
HAH!!!! I am so far from perfect!

8. Do you have any recurring nightmares?
Yes and for some reason I can never finish this particular one. I keep waking up.

9. If you could change anything about the way you were raised, what would it be and why?
That is a loaded question. Hell Yeah!!!!! There are so many things but I would say that one of the things that I would change and that would have made a difference in the way I turned out would be the communication. As I stated before, my parents were not open minded and I never felt comfortable telling them anything or asking them for advise. Had I have had someone to talk to and guide me I would have never done half of the things I did and I would have most likely created a better future for myself. The good thing that came out of it is that I promised myself and I kept that promise that I would never be like that with my children. I try to be their mother and their best friend. I try to be very open minded and understanding.

  1. Hehe...I know what you mean about close minded parents! I love dogs and it would be great if they could talk like the movie SHAGGY DOG. You must have been a dynamite gypsy. Personally, I liked homemade costumes more than those cheap store bought ones with the plastic masks that we sweat in and breathed in toxic fumes. Have a great weekend Mother-Wife-Me! : )
