Saturday Nine

Saturday 9: I'm So Proud

1. What are you proud of?
My children and the people they are turning out to be.
2. What is the best thing you’ve ever won as a prize? How did you win it?
I won $25.00 when I was about 11 years old at a bizarre with my grandmother.
3. Tell us about something you've done that in retrospect was a waste of time.
I wasted time not being serious about school.  I just wasn't into the college thing and I wasted 1 1/2 years not applying myself.  I could have gone so much further.  I achieved an A.A.S. in Elementary Education but I could have had a Masters if I would have applied myself.

4. How old were you when life changed the most for you? How did it change?
I would say the age of 28.  I got married and had my first child.  I was no longer on my own, I became someone's wife and mother.  And I had to be a responsible adult now.  What a reality check it was!!!!
5. Tell us about a place you that you've been that you considered to be very tranquil.
Paradise Island, Bahamas...loved it, pina coladas being served to me on the beach as I sat in my lounge chair on the most peaceful beach, without a care in the world.
6. Who is your favorite news anchor/reporter? Why?
I would have to say Robin Roberts.  She is a very educated woman who is very likeable.  She is also a very brave woman who had to face being a victim of cancer.
7. If you were to have the opportunity to name a new town or city, what would you call it? Why?
Your dream.  It would be the place of your dreams.  It would be where you want to go to get away from the world and all the chaos.  The place you can only dream about that is now a reality.
8. What is something about which you've always wondered but have not yet found a good answer?
What happens to you when you die; what do you feel if anything, what do you witness, see, hear, etc.
9. When you can't go to sleep, what is your personal remedy to help yourself drift into Lullabyland?
The sound of white noise like the air conditioner....I also like to read and cuddle under the covers.
